The focus of much of my work is concerned with understanding three interrelated research questions: (a) how people make decisions about whether and how to act in response to information about injustice; (b) what compels people to participate in collective action or to resist subordinated positions within a given social system; and (c) how to improve relations between groups of differing power, with a particular focus on the perspective of racial, ethnic, and religious minority group members.
